※ Matthew <마테복음 7장 6>

거룩한 것을 개에게 주지말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 더지지 말라 저희가 그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상할까 염려하라. "Do not give what is sacred to the dogs, so  that they may not turn around and attack you; neither throw your pearls before the hogs, so that they may not trample them under their feet"

 

※ Galatians <갈라디아서 6장 7~8>

스스로 속이지 말라, 하나님은 만휼히 여김을 받지 아니하시나니 사람이 무엇으로 심든지 그대로 거두리라. 자기의 육체를 위하여 심는 자는 육체로부터 썩어진 것을 거두고 성령을 위하여 심는 자는 성령으로부터 영생을 거두리라. Make no mistake, God will not be mocked. What a person sows, that he will harvest as well. The one who sows for his own flesh will harvest ruin from his flesh; while the one who sows for  the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit.

  ※ 1 Corinthians <고린도 전서 14: 13>

고린도는 그리스 신화에 나오는 코린트(Corinthians)라는 유적지이다.  이 코린트에 19세기에 운하를 만들어서 그리스의 펠로폰네소스 반도가 펠로 폰네소스 섬이 되었다.
